Eighteen Iranian MPs have signed a motion to impeach Labour and Social Affairs Minister Abdolreza Sheikholeslami for appointing the dismissed head of Iran's social security organisation, Saeed Mortazavi, to another government job, the Fars News Agency reported.
On January 14, Iran's administrative court of justice announced that the head of Iran's social security organisation, Saeed Mortazavi is to be dismissed from his post, Mehr reported.
Court spokesman, Ali Akbar Bakhtiari said a statement had been issued and Mortazavi will be dismissed from his position.
Back in August 2012, Iran's First Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi said Mortazavi will remain in his position as head of Iran's social security organisation.
Fars agency later reported that Mortazavi had been dismissed from his position as ordered by the Iranian administrative court.
A parliamentary report issued on January 10, 2010 blamed Mortazavi for sending 147 inmates, charged with involvement in political unrest that occurred after the Iranian presidential election of June 2009, to the substandard Kahrizak detention centre on July 9, 2009.
In 2011, Tehran's Military Court dismissed Mortazavi after a series of tragic incidents at that prison.
The court also discussed cases over two other judges in connection with the incident and dismissed all three from their posts.
