Bitumen plant to be commissioned in Kazakhstan

Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov ordered to commission the bitumen plant in April.

"It is necessary, to put the bitumen plant into operation in April... We have to acquire our own bitumen by the road season," Akhmetov said.

According to the Prime Minister, the road and automobile construction is underway. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan imports bitumen.

"This practice must be stopped. The construction of the plant was supposed to end by December 2012, the new deadline is April," Akhmetov said.
