Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Poland in 2012, according to preliminary data, exceeded $2.1 billion, Polish Ambassador to Kazakhstan Jacek Kluczkowski told Trend.

Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Poland in 2012, according to preliminary data, exceeded $2.1 billion, Polish Ambassador to Kazakhstan Jacek Kluczkowski told Trend.

"Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Poland last year, according to preliminary data, exceeded $2.100 billion. Moreover, share of Poland's export to Kazakhstan amounted to $600 million. The figure is 20-25 percent higher than the previous years" Kluczkowski said.

He said the main Kazakh export is oil. Equipment for mining, engineering products, building materials, medicines, fruits and vegetables are exported from Poland to Kazakhstan.

"In comparison with other CIS countries, Kazakhstan ranks third after Russia and Ukraine among the most important economic partners of Poland, and the fifth among countries in the Asian continent after China, Japan, India and Singapore," the diplomat said.
