Some 4.466 million tons of cargo were transported by vehicles through Azerbaijan in Jan. 2013 or 5.78 percent less than in 2012, the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee said today.
Exports of cargo during this period amounted to 2.3 million tons, while imports - 0.604 million tons.
Some 12,396 tons of cargo were exported by sea, 197,020 tons were exported by railway, 43,125 tons - by vehicles, 213,750 tons - air, and transportation by stationary vehicles amounted to 2.047 million tons in Jan.
Some 152,600 tons of cargo were imported by sea, 338,500 tons by railway, 108,700 tons by vehicles, 1,530 tons of cargo by air.
Some 1.56 million tons of cargo were transited through the territory of Azerbaijan in Jan.
