Presidential hopeful: Low-income Iranians not to suffer

Iran's Presidential Hopeful Kamran Baqeri Lankarani said that he will make sure that low-income people will not suffer as a result of economic policies.

The former health minister told reporters in Tehran that measures will be taken to address the root causes of economic issues, the Mardomsalari News Daily reported.

Lankarani had previously said that his administration will pursue a powerful management if he gets elected in election.

Iran will hold the 11th presidential election on June 14, 2013.
During last year Iran's economy contracted by 1.9 percent, while inflation rate rose by 31.5 percent.

Iran's national currency dropped by 40 percent in value during 2012.
