Iran's inflation rate increases by 1,6 percent

Inflation rate in Iran has increased last month (started on Month 20) by 1,6 percent, reaching 32,6 percent, compared to previous month, the website of Iran Statistical Center reported.

The report also said that the point to point inflation (percentage change in the CPI during the last 12 months) in the country was 41,2 percent during Iran's third calendar month (May 20 - June 20).

ISNA news agency reported on June 5 that Iran's inflation rate increased by 1,2 percent in the second Iranian calendar month of Ordibehesht (April21-May 21), reaching 31 percent.

Inflation in Iran amounted to 25.4 percent on the average during the past Iranian calendar year.

The governor of the Central Bank of Iran Mahmoud Bahmani had said nothing more can be done to curb the inflation.
