Uzbek subsidiary of Ingosstrakh increases collection of premiums by 1.5 times

INGO-Uzbekistan insurance company, a subsidiary of Russian Ingosstrakh increased insurance premiums by 1.5 times in January - June 2013, up to 5.3 billion soums in comparison with the same period of 2012, the company's representative told Trend on Friday.

According to the interlocutor, premium growth was achieved mainly in the field of voluntary property insurance - up to 56 percent, in the insurance of construction risks - by 2.3 times, a twofold increase in complex motor insurance.

The volume of payments increased to 1.5 times in the first half-year and mounted to 1.1 billion soums. The main part of insurance claims was paid on voluntary medical insurance, auto insurance, property and cargo insurance, as well as travel insurance.

At the beginning of July of this year, the volume of insurance reserves of INGO-Uzbekistan amounted to 5.4 billion sums (by 57 percent in comparison with the same period last year).

The total volume of investment of the company into the economy of Uzbekistan increased from the beginning of the year by 13 percent to 10.8 billion soums.

In April 2008, CJSC InVestPolis (subsidiary company of Russian Ingosstrakh) has acquired 76 per cent of the authorized capital of the JV Standard Insurance Group insurance company. In September 2008 the company was renamed to Insurance Closed Joint-Stock Company INGO-Uzbekistan. In August 2012 InVestPolis JSC increased its share in the INGO-Uzbekistan up to 90 percent.

The company has a license of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan on caring out the activities in the field of public insurance in the mandatory and voluntary forms by 14 classes.

Currently the authorized capital of the insurance company is 7.6 billion soums, it consists of a thousand ordinary shares of 7.6 million soums each.

Bukhara Oil Refinery and National Airlines Uzbekiston havo yullari are also the shareholders of the company, each owning five percent shares.

According to the results of 2012 the insurance company collected premiums in the amount of 6.2 million soums, which is by 47.9 percent more than the relative indicator of 2011, the volume of paid insurance compensations rose by 58 percent - up to 1.35 billion soums.
