The volume of Kazakhstan's exports to the Tyumen region of Russia may reach $ 228 million, Deputy Chairman of the National Agency Kaznex Invest Meirzhan Maykenov told reporters on Monday.
"According to the analysis of 12 nearby regions of Russia, conducted by Kaznex Invest, the Tyumen region has a leading position in terms of export potential of Kazakhstan with the figure of $228 million," Maykenov said, commenting on the results of the visit of representatives of nine Kazakh enterprises to Tyumen.
According to him, the Tyumen region is more interested in consumer products, chemical products from Kazakhstan as essential components of the production process for companies in the region as well as in some types of mechanical and electrical products.
"As for engineering products, it is one of the sought positions in the structure of imports.
Meetings of enterprises Munaiaspap and Belkamit were held with SpetsenergoGSM LLC and Nephtemach. The issue of the supply of tanks, vessels, heat exchangers for oil and gas companies of Tyumen and the Tyumen region is currently under discussion," he said.
According to him, Kazakh exporters should pay more attention to Russia's regional markets, where their products are quite competitive and in demand.
"Also, Tyumen businessmen have shown interest in foodstuffs of Kazakh production. According to the preliminary agreement between domestic producers of food products and Tyumen businessmen, contracts for the supply of grain mill products are at the stage of signing," the National Agency representative said.
The National Agency for Export and Investment KAZNEX INVEST was established on April 2, 2010 by the decision of the MINT RK based on the Corporation for Export Development and Promotion KAZNEX. KAZNEX INVEST is funded from the national budget.
