Iran’s LPG exports halves

Iran's LPG exports including liquefied propane and butane halved during first five months of the current solar year (which started on March 21) compared to the same period of the last solar year, the website of the Islamic republic of Iran customs administrations (IRICA) reported.

Meanwhile, this product is not exactly on the list of western sanctions against Iran, after imposing last year's sanctions, the country's LPG exports decreased sharply and even stopped for a while.

Iran was exporting some 80 percent of the LPG to the South Korea.

According to the report, Iran has exported some 287,000 tons of liquefied butane worth $258 millions during first five months of the current solar year, which indicates a fall by 46.05 and 44.64 respectively compared to the exports of 532,000 tons of liquefied butane worth $466 millions during the same period last solar year.

Iran has exported some 314,000 tons of liquefied propane worth $296 million during the first five months of the current solar year which indicates a decrease by 56.75 and 49.75 percent in weight and value respectively compared to the same period of the last solar year.

Iran exported 726,000 tons of liquefied propane worth $589 millions during first five months of the last solar year.

Iran has exported about 1.428 million tons of liquefied propane worth $1.134 billions during last solar year.

The country's liquefied butane exports also stood at 1.026 million tons worth $866 millions during last solar year.

Iran exported some $3.400 billions of LPG at the solar year which ended on March 20, 2012, while the figure during first five months of the current solar year, reached $580 millions.

The country's total petrochemical product's exports value stood at $3.914 billions which indicate a fall by 14.42 percent compared to the same period of the last solar year.

Iran's petrochemical product exports value during last solar year was $10 billions which show a decrease by 33 percent compared to the previous year's figure.

According to IRICA`s statistics, Iran's total exports value during first five months of the current solar year has reached $15.192 billions which indicates a fall by 7.99 percent compared to the same period of the last solar year.

It is while, the country's total imports value stood at $16.307 billions during the period, which decreased by 26.36 percent compared to the first five months of the last solar year.
