The Turkish economy grew by 4.4 percent in the second quarter of 2013, according to report of the Turkish Statistical Institute, posted on its website on Wednesday.
According to report data, in the first quarter of 2013, economic growth in Turkey constituted 3.7 percent. Thus, in the last 15 quarters (over 3 years) the Turkish economy shows continuous growth.
The report said that in the second quarter of 2013, Turkey ranked third in the world in terms of economic growth.
From April-June, the largest increase was observed in tourism -14.9 percent, construction - 7.6 percent, trade - 5 percent, manufacturing industry - 3.4 percent.
