Kazakh producers took part in a two-day trade mission to Kiev, Ukraine, organized by the National Export and Investment Agency Kaznex Invest in cooperation with the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kaznex Invest reported on Thursday.
"As the result of the visit and the Kazakh-Ukrainian business forum, three domestic companies have reached an agreement on exports to Ukraine. Among them there is Kentau transformer plant, which will send transformers worth $500, 000," the statement said.
Amitex Astana LLP Company agreed on the sale of plastic pipes in the local market. After the first delivery, the company together with a partner will consider the question of granting exclusive rights to the Ukrainian side on the sale of products in the territory of Ukraine.
In general, the trade mission was attended by 10 heads of companies on machine-building, chemical, construction, pharmaceutical and food industries.
Since 2009 the Kaznex Invest Agency has carried out 23 trade missions to China, Korea, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan,Russia, Romania, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Poland, Iran and India. As a result of these measures the domestic companies have signed export contracts worth more than $ 170 million. Until late 2013, the agency plans to conduct trade missions and present products of domestic manufacturers in Georgia and China.
