Exports from Iran’s Zanjan Province surpass $147 million

Some $147.628 million worth of goods have been exported from the customs zone of Iran's Zanjan Province for the first six months of the current solar year, which started on March 21, director of the Zanjan Province's Customs Organization, Mousa Mohamaadi Ganjeh said, IRNA news agency reported.

The figure shows a 9 per cent increase compared to the same period of the last solar year, he added.

Mohamaadi Ganjeh went on to note that some 71,251 tons of goods were exported from the province to Turkey, Iraq, Pakistan, China, South Africa, India, Germany, Slovakia, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, UAE, Italy, Russia, Georgia, Holland, Spain, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan during the period or 18 per cent more than same time span of the previous solar year.

Copper, zinc and lead ingots, transformers and accessories, wire and cable, yoghurt, cream, buttermilk, milk, raisin, tomato paste, barite powder, bentonite, zinc concentrate, zinc oxide polypropylene fibers and propylene films are among the exported goods.

According to the report, Iran has imported some 41,382 tons of goods, worth $122.576 million through Zanjan Customs from Turkey, China, Belgium, Germany, France, India, UAE, Italy, Belarus, USA, Uzbekistan, Spain, Canada, Finland, Brazil, Indonesia, Holland, Austria and Russia during the period.

The figures show 86 and 45 percent increase in terms of volume and worth respectively compared to the same period of the last solar year.

The imported goods mainly include tissue weaving machinery, rollers, paper pulp, wood pulp, cotton, nylon and polyester thread, polyethylene films, polycarbonate, insulation papers, cotton fibers, latex and UV stabilizers.

Iran's total non-oil exports (including condensates) decreased by 8 percent during the first five months of current solar year, compared to the same period of last year and reached $15.2 billion, while the imports decreased by 26.36 percent and reached $16.3 during the mentioned period of time.

Iran has a little of suitcase trade worth $31 million during mentioned period.
