Azerbaijan expects GDP growth in share of agriculture

The share of agriculture, forestry and fish farming sectors in Azerbaijan's GDP will rise from 5.2 per cent in 2012 to 6.5 per cent in 2017.

The share of agriculture, forestry and fish farming sectors in Azerbaijan's GDP will rise from 5.2 per cent in 2012 to 6.5 per cent in 2017.

The forecast of the Azerbaijani government is reflected in the concept of the socio-economic development of the country for 2014-2017.

According to the forecast, in 2013 this figure will amount to 5.6 per cent, in 2014 to 5.7 per cent, in 2015 to 6.1 per cent and in 2016 to 6.3 per cent.

Real GDP growth provided by the sector will make up 5.7 per cent in 2013 (5.8 per cent - in 2011 and 2012), 5.8 per cent in 2014, 5.5 per cent in 2015, 5.5 per cent in 2016 and 5.3 per cent in 2017.

GDP produced in the agriculture, forestry and fish farming sectors will be 3.039 billion manats in 2013 (2.643 billion manat in 2011 and 2.783 billion manat in 2012), 3.329 billion manat in 2014, 3.645 billion manat in 2015, 3.998 billion manat in 2016 and 4,382 billion manat in 2017.
