Some 356,910 tons of cement in the amount of $26.33 million was exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in January-September 2013, according to a report posted on website of GruzStat (National Statistical Service of Georgia).
According to the report, the specific weight of this category in the total volume of Georgian exports to Azerbaijan amounted to 4.98 per cent in the reporting period.
The volume of cement export from Georgia increased by 4.63 per cent or 14,350 tons compared to the same period of 2012. For comparison, some 342,550 tons of cement in the amount of $25.17 million was exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in January-September 2012.
In the reporting period the growth of steel bar export from Georgia to Azerbaijan was also observed. Thus, some 49,240 tons of steel bar in the amount of $30.79 million was exported to Azerbaijan in January-September 2013, which is by 15.03 per cent more than in the same period of 2012. For comparison, Azerbaijan imported about 42,800 tons of steel bar in the amount of $29.31 million from Georgia in January-September 2012.
Some $528.9 million worth of goods was exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in January-September 2013 and this figure accounted for 26.2 per cent of the total volume of the country's export during the reporting period.
The export from Georgia to Azerbaijan increased by 12.94 per cent compared to the same period of 2012. For comparison, some $468.31 million worth of goods was exported to Azerbaijan in January-September 2012.
