Iran`s exports to CIS in the ‘suitcase trade’ increases by 34 percent

Iran has exported $75.37 million worth of goods to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) during the first eight months of the current solar year (started on March 21) which indicates an increase of 34.23 per cent compared to the same period of the last solar year, the website of the Islamic republic of Iran customs administrations (IRICA) reported on Dec 1.

The figure shares 0.38 per cent of the total export value of the country during the period.

During the first eight months of the last solar year, the same trade was worth $56.15 million which was 0.26 per cent of the total export value of the country during that period.

Bajgiran, Astara and Bilasuvar customs were the top three border points in terms of 'suitcase trade' with $39.88 million, $11.7 million and $4.5 million worth of exported goods during the first eight months of the current solar year.
