By Fatih Karimov - Trend:

Managing directors of large German steel companies are to visit Iran to resume investment in the country's steel projects, the Mehr News Agency quoted Iranian deputy industry minister Mehdi Karbasian as saying on December 2.

Thanks to positive atmosphere after the recent nuclear deal with world powers, German investors will come to Iran during the next two weeks, he added.

During the past eight years we had called on them to invest in our steel projects, but they did not reply, he noted.

Iran and the Sextet -- Britain, China, France, Russia, the United States and Germany, clinched a deal on Tehran's civilian nuclear programme in Geneva on November 24.

Under the accord, billions of dollars in Iran's blocked oil revenues will be released and sanctions gradually lifted in return for Tehran limiting its nuclear energy program.
