The World Bank (WB) is preparing a new project in the area of improving the road infrastructure in Azerbaijan, head of the WB office in Baku Larisa Leshchenko told Trend on Tuesday.
"The project will be prepared in the second half of 2014," she said.
"We used to build highways mainly in the north and north- west of the country, but now in the south-east," she said.
"Around 1.2 million people have an opportunity to use improved roads in Azerbaijan due to the implementation of WB projects," she said.
WB has implemented three road projects in Azerbaijan.
