Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan, whose name was mentioned in the corruption scandal, has resigned on Dec. 25, Turkish TV channel TRT Haber reported.

The TV channel reported that, the minister while commenting on his resignation said he made this decision for details of the corruption scandal that broke out in the country, to be clarified.

According to Turkish law, a minister's immunity has to be removed in order to bring him to justice.

Earlier it was reported that the Turkish court addressed the country's parliament with such an inquiry against the persons involved in the corruption scandal.
