Turkey and Pakistan will sign a free trade agreement in early 2014, Sabah newspaper reported today.
According to the newspaper, the issue of signing a free trade agreement was discussed during Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Pakistan.
The newspaper also reported that the Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbul railway construction project is expected to be implemented.
The agreement on railway construction was reached in Tehran in 2008.
According to the Turkish Statistics Institute, the trade between Pakistan and Turkey amounted to $597 million for the first nine months of 2013.
