The Azerbaijani Transport Ministry commissioned the Agstafa-Poylu-Georgian border highway on Jan.21, Azeryolservis JSC of the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry told Trend on Jan.21.
The opening ceremony was attended by Azerbaijani Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov, the head of Azeryolservis JSC Javid Gurbanov and other officials.
The total length of the highway is 59 kilometres. It consists of two lanes. The reconstruction of the highway began in November 2011 and ended in December 2013.
As a result of the reconstruction it has been transferred from being a third technical category to a second.
