A new subway line will be put into operation in the Turkish capital of Ankara, Turkish Anadolu agency reported on Feb.7.

The new subway line Batikent-Sincan will be opened on February 12, 2014, according to the agency.

The length of Ankara's new subway line, the construction of which began in February 2012, amounts to 15.5 kilometers.

Eleven stations will be united by the new line.

The Ankara Metro was put into operation in 1996. The total length of subway lines in Turkey's capital is 60.4 kilometers. The Ankara Metro consists of 22 stations.
