Italian company ready to implement aluminum, power projects in Iran

Italian company, Fata, has announced readiness to implement aluminum and power projects in Iran, the Mehr News Agency reported on March 1.

Chairman of Fata board of directors, Ignazio Moncada, said that the two sides can pave the way for further cooperation, through establishing joint working groups.

He made the remarks at a meeting with Iranian deputy industry minister Mehdi Karbasian in Tehran.

On February 21, Italian company, Danieli, expressed readiness to establish a factory in Iran for manufacturing mining machinery.

Danieli's CEO Gianpietro Benedetti said currently a steel plant is being built by Danieli in Iran's city of Shahreza, in Isfahan province.

"The project will be inaugurated in the next 15 months," Benedetti added.

An Italian business delegation will soon visit Iran to explore investment opportunities in the Islamic Republic, Press TV reported.

The delegation, headed by chairman of the Italy-Iran Chamber of Commerce, Rosario Alessandro, will start a four-day visit to Iran on Saturday, said the press office of the Iranian Embassy in Rome.

The delegation will hold bilateral meetings with their counterparts from Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines.

The Italian businessmen will also meet with the president of Iran's investment organization, Saeed Nikzad Larijani, and some officials at Iran's Industry, Mines and Trade Ministry.

They will also take part in a conference aimed at introducing economic, commercial and foreign investment potentialities in Iran.
