By Elena Kosolapova - Trend:

Russian KAMAZ applied to the Kazakh and Russian Foreign Ministries with a request for help on the return of 43 trucks captured by armed people in Ukraine, the company said on March 17.

On March 16 armed people who introduced themselves as fighters of Maidan self-defense squads captured 43 KAMAZ trucks worth over hundred million rubles (36.64 rubles = $1) exporting from KAMAZ Company's warehouse in Ukrainian Chernigov to the Kazakh city of Astana.

"Measures taken by KAMAZ in order to return its property have had no success. Moreover, there are 150 trucks more contracted for supply to Kazakhstan in the Chernigov warehouse which are under the threat of illegal seizure. That is why KAMAZ applied to Foreign Ministries of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as to Ukrainian law enforcement agencies with a formal request for assistance in resolving this issue," the company said.
