German agricultural machinery manufacturer plans to launch production in Kazakhstan

A German agricultural machinery manufacturer CLAAS is ready to launch production of a number of agricultural machines in Kazakhstan, Kazakh National Export and Investments Agency Kaznex Invest reported on April 23.

CLAAS Group intends to produce large tractors "XERION", high-tech complexes "Airseeder" of Horsch and efficient combines "TUCANO" in Kazakhstan.

The company's management discussed this issue with Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev and Agriculture Minister Asylzhan Mamytbekov during their visit to Astana.

The negotiation on this issue will continue in the near future.

The concern has already realized experimental assembly of agricultural machinery in the Kazakh city of Akkol.

Moreover, the German company plans to export large Kazakh XERION tractors to Siberia, CIS countries and Mongolia, as well as components produced in Kazakhstan to the Russian city of Krasnodar for TUCANO combines production.

German operates large factories in Russia, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan neighboring Kazakhstan. In Kazakhstan, CLAAS has worked since 1991 as a supplier of combines, tractors, mowing machines, shredding machines and other equipment.

CLAAS is an agricultural machinery manufacturer producing combine harvesters, forage harvesters, balers, mowers, rakes, tedders and other harvesting machines. It has 14 factories in Europe, Asia and North America, employing more than 8,000 people.
