Azerbaijan increases exports of goods to Georgia by nearly 14%

Georgia imported goods worth $174.08 million from Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2014, according to the Georgian National Statistics Service's report on foreign trade.

The volume of imports from Azerbaijan to Georgia for the period increased 13.74 percent, according to the report. For comparison, Georgia imported Azerbaijani goods worth $153.05 million in January-March 2013.

Azerbaijan ranks second in the list of countries from which Georgia imports goods. The share of Azerbaijan's exports in the total volume of goods imported in Georgia is 9.5 percent.

Georgia imports most goods from Turkey. The volume of Georgia's imports from Turkey totaled $318.97 million in January-March 2014 or 17.5 percent of a total import volume.

Georgia imported goods worth $1.83 billion in January-March 2014 or by 15.82 percent more compared to the same period of 2013.
