Producer input prices for industrial products in Azerbaijan remain unchanged in April

The index of producer input prices for industrial products in Azerbaijan remained unchanged in April, 2014, compared to March, a message posted on the website of the country's State Statistical Committee said.

The producer input prices grew by 0.1 percent in the mining industry, while some 0.4 percent decrease was observed in producer input prices in the processing industry, according to the committee.

Producer input prices in the sphere of mining of stone, sand, salt, gravel and other products of the mining industry dropped by 6.3 percent in April. The producer input prices in mining of metal ores increased by three percent, while some 0.1 percent increase was observed in the sphere of oil and natural gas production.

Producer input prices decreased in the following spheres: wood processing and production of wood products dropped by 5.8 percent, production of rubber and plastic products (4.1 percent) , fabricated metal products (3.8 percent) , tobacco products (0.9 percent) , petroleum products and furniture (0.8 percent), construction materials (0.4 percent) , and pharmaceutical products ( 0.2 percent).

The following spheres saw an increase in producer input prices: installation and repair of equipment (3.6 percent), weaving industry - (3 percent) , steel industry (1.6 percent) , production of food products (1.2 percent), chemical industry (1 percent), production of leather and leather goods and footwear (0.8 percent each), paper and cardboard ( 0.7 percent).
