Kazakhstan decreased gold and silver production in January –April 2014

Kazakhstan decreased gold and silver production in January -April 2014, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to Kazakh Statistics Agency.

Raw, semi-finished gold and gold in power production increased by 3.7 percent in the reporting period compared to the same period of 2013 to 13.566 tonnes.

Refined gold production increased by 4.8 percent to 7.971 tonnes.

Raw, semi-finished silver and silver in power production dropped by 10.6 percent to 290.9 tonnes, including 288.8 tonnes of refined silver (10.8 percent decrease) in this period.

Refined, raw and unalloyed copper production in January-April decreased by 28.7 percent to 85,915 tonnes, raw zinc production increased by 3.6 percent to 107,109 tonnes, raw lead production increased by 48.6 percent to 42,835 tonnes.
