Iran may raise cement export price to Azerbaijan by $5 per ton.
Abdolreza Sheikhan, Secretary of the Union of Iranian Cement Industry Employers, said cement is exported currently at $52 per ton to Azerbaijan, Iran's IRNA news agency reported on May1 17.
The USD official exchange rate is currently about 25,535 rials.
"The final price of cement for exports to Azerbaijan will be set today," he noted.
He also said that prices of cement for exports to Afghanistan and Iraq will be set in the coming days.
In January, Sheikhan said Iran is the fourth largest producer of cement in the world with an annual production capacity of 70 million tons, Press TV reported.
"Presently, Iran with an output capacity of 70 million tons of cement [a year] is the world's fourth largest producer of cement after China, India and the United States," he added.
"Iran will become the world's third cement producer if its 75-million-ton nominal capacity becomes its actual capacity," he noted.
