Turkey’s revenues from highway and bridge exploitation exceed $ 128 mln since 2014

Turkey's revenues from the usage of highways and bridges amounted to 269,314, 214 Turkish liras in January-April 2014, the Turkish General Directorate of Highways said on May 20.

Some 124,474,409 vehicles operated on the motorways and bridges in Turkey during this period, according to the report.

Some 32,572,692 vehicles used the motorways and bridges in Turkey in April. The profit obtained from the road infrastructure amounted to 71,253,350 Turkish liras, according to the report.

Some 31,552,638 vehicles used motorways and bridges in Turkey in March. The income acquired from these facilities amounted to 68,349,226 Turkish liras, according to the statement.

Some 29,161,808 vehicles used the motorways and bridges in Turkey in February. The revenues obtained from highways and bridges amounted to 63,179,319 Turkish liras.

Some 31,187,271 vehicles used motorways and bridges in Turkey in January. The profits gained amounted to 66,532,634 Turkish liras.

The number of vehicles in the country has reached 18,52,195 according to the Turkish Statistics Institute.
The official exchange rate is 2.0981 TRY/USD on May 22.
