Real rate of Georgia’s GDP growth stands at over 6 percent in May

Real rate of Georgia's GDP growth in May, 2014 stood at 6.3 percent, while the average real GDP growth was 4.5 percent in April-May, 2014.

Georgia's National Statistics Office (GeoStat) told Trend that every month it holds tentative appraisals of the economic growth, which is calculated based on the departmental statistics (the turnover of enterprises paying VAT, fiscal and monetary data).

This appraisal is internationally accepted, being used for operative tentative short-term data.
