Baku, Azerbaijan, Dec. 28
By Emil Ismayilov - Trend:
Azerbaijan is envisaged to create industrial parks in the cities of Ganja and Mingachevir between 2015 and 2018 in line with a government program for industry development in 2015-2020.
The program was earlier approved by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
Azerbaijan's Economy and Industry Ministry, the State Committee on Property Issues and the Executive Authorities of Ganja and Mingachevir are responsible for the creation of industrial parks.
Aside from that, under the program, the Economy and Industry Ministry, the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents, and the Communications and High Technologies Ministry are envisaged to prepare in 2015 the proposals on creation of national brands, their promotion and support in target markets.
The program involves encouraging creation of associations for various industries.
The new government program also includes work on establishing new industrial facilities, in particular, the creation of a polymer plant in Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, commissioning of a urea plant, and enterprises for sorting, transporting and recycling waste, and other works.
