The Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry transferred tax payments in the amount of 7.114 billion AZN to the state budget in 2014, which is 6.8 percent (450 billion AZN) more than the index for 2013, the ministry's website said.

The official exchange rate is 0.7844 AZN/USD on Jan. 16.

Thus, 32.4 percent of a total volume of tax fees accounted for the share of income tax proceeds for the period, value added tax - 28.8 percent, income tax - 13.8 percent, excise taxes - 10.4 percent, other taxes - 15 percent, the report said.

Tax deductions from non-oil sector to the state budget amounted to 4.306 billion AZN or 65.18 percent of a total volume of proceeds.

The proceeds through this line increased by 14.5 percent compared to the same period of last year, the report said.

The forecast on tax deductions for 2014 for the ministry is set in the amount of 7.1 billion AZN.

Around 82,688 taxpayers passed state registration in Azerbaijan in January-December 2014. The total number of taxpayers as of January 1, 2015 was 609,742 people, which is 13.4 percent more than the last year.

The share of tax returns filed in electronic form was 90.2 percent in 2014.
