Working small business has increased by 6,000 companies (6.3 percent) for the first time in 4 years in Kazakhstan, according to the analytical service Ranking.kz.
"At the end of 2014, the number of active players in the business sector in the country has reached 103,000," according to analysts. "For comparison: last time the working small business registry extension happened in 2010 (an increase of 4.2 percent, to 101,900 active companies)."
It is reported that the decline of activity in the sector was observed in the following years.
"At the end of 2014, 13 regions have demonstrated the growth," the experts said. "The highest growth was recorded in the East Kazakhstan region (13.9 percent increase, to 8,500 employees of companies). The second place belongs to small entrepreneurs of the South Kazakhstan region (10.9 percent increase, to 8,500 active companies)."
