Interest-free loans will be issued to persons, who are engaged in trade, as well as craftspeople in Turkey, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said, the Turkish TV channel TRT Haber reported.

He said that the loans will be issued by the Turkish Halk Bankasi.

The prime minister also said that currently more than 1 million craftspeople received bank loans.

"Previously, in 2002, craftspeople and traders didn't trust banks, so the number of craftspeople who received bank loans didn't exceed 60, 000," Davutoglu said.
