In 2014, Georgia's power consumption, excluding losses, was 10.774 billion kilowatt-hours, or 6.2 percent more than in the same period of 2013 (10.141 billion kilowatt-hours), Electricity System Commercial Operator (ESCO) told Trend Jan. 27.
During the reporting period, Georgia's power consumption, taking into account the losses, stood at 11.006 billion kilowatt-hours (versus 10.345 billion kilowatt-hours in 2013)
In 2014, the direct consumers received 1.553 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, while the energy distributing companies got 8.601 billion kilowatt-hours.
In 2014, the thermal power plants, as well as the seasonal and regulating plants in Georgia generated 9.878 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity.
During the reporting period, the electricity import totaled 793, 3 million kilowatt-hours, while exports of electricity stood at 545, 1 million kilowatt-hours.
