Kazakh Samruk-Energy company plans to complete a number of major projects in 2015, the company reported on Feb. 27.

Kazakh Samruk-Energy company plans to complete a number of major projects in 2015, the company reported on Feb. 27.

In particular, the company plans to complete the modernization of the Aktobe power plant which will enable to increase its capacity from 88 MW to 117 MW and generate 150 million kWh more per year.

Moreover the company plans to complete the construction of the first stage of a wind power plant in Ereymentau with a 45 MW capacity.

Samruk-Energy also plans to complete the third and the forth stage of construction of a slag removal combined system at the Almaty power plant in 2015 and reconstruction of electric networks of 6-10 KV in the city of Almaty.

In 2014 Samruk-Energy also completed several investments projects.
In particular the company completed restoration of the power unit No 2 at Ekibastuz GRES-1 power plant. The capacity of the power unit is 500 MW and its launch increased the capacity of the plant up to 3500 MW.
Moreover thee high voltage substations (Esentai, Altai, Mamyr) were build in Almaty, which expanded transformer capacity by 332 MVA.
Moreover four substations with total transformer capacity of 738 MVA were build for the power supply to underground, Special Economic Zone Park of innovative technologies and urban utilities in Almaty. The company also completed the construction of the transmission lines of 220 kV in the city of Almaty.
