Volumes of consumer loans reduce in Kazakhstan

The volume of consumer loans continues declining in Kazakhstan, Ranking.kz analytical service said April 13.

As of February, the amount of issued loans amounted to 2.53 trillion tenge (185.65 tenge = $ 1) versus 2.55 trillion in January. The consumer loan portfolio decreased by 54 billion tenge for two months.

The volume of consumer loans decreased by 23.6 billion tenge in February 2015.

The North-Kazakhstan region (by 0.3 billion tenge to 39.1 billion) and Atyrau region (by 22 million tenge to 117.3 billion tenge) are in advantageous position.

The greatest reduction of consumer loans is observed in Almaty (minus 7.3 billion tenge to 945.5 billion tenge), East Kazakhstan region (minus 3.16 billion tenge to 139.6 billion tenge) and Astana (minus 2.95 billion tenge to 198.9 billion tenge).

The annual growth rates of consumer lending from February 2014-February 2015 reduced by 4.7 times compared to February 2013-February 2014.
