Ukrainian company builds bridges in Turkmenistan

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov has reviewed the construction of new road and rail bridges of the Turkmenabat-Farap corridor in Lebap region of the country, the media of Turkmenistan said June 26.
"The president reviewed the stands with the technical specifications and the future shape of the bridges across the Amu Darya river on the construction site," Turkmen Altyn Asyr TV channel reported. "They are being constructed by Altcom Road Construction LLC (Ukraine)."
Alexander Tislenko, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ukrainian Altco financial and industrial group, delivered a report on the construction work at the facilities.
The group includes the Altcom Road Construction LLC.
Tislenko voiced readiness to develop partnership and expressed interest in strengthening the positions on the promising Turkmen market, the TV channel.
Turkmenabat-Farap transport corridor erected across the Amu Darya river consists of two such complex engineering facilities as the railway bridge 1,750 meters long and road bridge with a length of 1,600 meters (with the width of the carriageway of 21.5 meters), according to the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan.
Ramp road junctions will be constructed on the road bridge, according to the publication. The height of the bridge spans over the river will allow unhindered movement of river vessels under them.
The ongoing technical decisions take into account local climatic and geological conditions. The foundation of the bridges under construction was founded in February 2013, the newspaper said.
"The new transport corridor across the Amu Darya river is intended to become the "golden link" of the international network of transport communications and will play a role in the rapid development of mineral resources of the right bank of the Amu Darya river," the newspaper Vatan said.
