Almaty International Airport will direct all 2014 profit for the purchase of a new passenger terminal.
The profit of the Almaty airport on the results of 2014 amounted to 4.95 billion tenge (187.45 tenge = $1).
The decision to purchase a passenger terminal was made by the Board of Directors of the sole shareholder of the airport - the company Venus Airport Investments B.V. The decision is posted on the website of the Kazakh Stock Exchange KASE.
The airport will acquire the passenger terminal in accordance with the sale-purchase contract of state property and with the Office of Finance of the city of Almaty on December 26, 2014.
Almaty International Airport is the largest airport in Kazakhstan, which occupies first place in the country for domestic and international passenger and cargo air transportation. In 2014, the passenger traffic of Almaty airport totaled 4.589 million passengers, which is 6 percent higher than in 2013.
