More than 200 projects (out of 770) of the Industrialization Map in Kazakhstan had difficulty in capacity till the temporary suspension in early 2015 taking into account external shocks (devaluation of the ruble, the sanctions against Russia and so on), the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan said.

Some 147 of these projects were launched during the reporting period (the work at the remaining enterprises is underway together with the regional authorities) in the reporting period.

However, the projects of the Industrialization Map were more resilient to external shocks compared to the industry as a whole, the report said.

The goods worth 623 billion tenge (188.05 tenge = $ 1) have been produced as a result of the launched projects in Kazakhstan for the first six months of 2015 and worth 4.8 trillion tenge since 2010.

About 380 projects are being implemented in Kazakhstan as part of the second five-year state program of industrial-innovative development of the country (2015-2019). Over 60,000 permanent jobs will be created there.

Some 20 projects were launched in the first half of 2015.

Some 2,000 permanent jobs were created.

Some 100 projects are planned to be launched by late 2015. Some 45,000 people will be involved in the construction work.
