A qualifying round of Seedstars World competition among Azerbaijnai start-ups took place in Baku during the last week with the support of Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of Azercell. Start-up named Piriyev Aero gained the chance of representing Azerbaijan in this world competition and competing for investment capital in the amount of USD 500,000. Piriyev Aero, winner of the qualifying round held among 12 competitors will join Seedstars World competiiton scheduled for February 2016 in Switzerland. The winner joined the competition with the project Dronee. It is a drone, customizable aircraft vehicle carrying a hardware platform.
Developers can easily use the drone for own purposes by choosing relevant hardware (mobile multimode camera, air censor, thermal camera, 4G modeme etc.) and applications and entering the codes. Flapus mobile application for sending tasks with a reminder and Bethclip, data synchronization tool based on a cloud multiplatform took the second and third places respectively. The competition held with the organization and support of PASHA Bank and support of ADA University, Khazar Ventures, Barama and Uber is a global project to discover young talents in develioing and rapidly growthing start-up market. The compeititon is aimed at supporting entrepreneurship in emerging countries.
