Uzbek bank barred from foreign currency transactions with legal entities

By the order of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, foreign currency operations with legal entities have been suspended in Hamkorbank JSCB for a period of six months, according to the bank's press service.

This decision was made by the regulator in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan" in connection with law violations by the Hamkorbank JSCB on currency regulation.

Hamkorbank was founded in 1991. The bank's head office is located in Andijan (center of the Andijan oblast). It has a representative office in Tashkent and a network of branches and mini-banks in all regions. The main directions of the bank's business is lending to small and medium-sized businesses and individual entrepreneurs.
