Georgia imported products worth $49.5 million from Azerbaijan in January 2016, or two percent less than in the same period of 2015, the Georgian National Statistics Service's report said.
For comparison: Georgia imported Azerbaijani goods worth $50.55 million in January 2015.
Azerbaijan ranks second among these countries. The share of Azerbaijani export in the total volume of products imported to Georgia is 12 percent.
Georgia mainly imports goods from Turkey. During the reporting period, the volume of Georgia's import from Turkey hit $73.85 million, or 18 percent of the total volume of import.
Russia ranks third with the total volume of $44.5 million worth products imported by Georgia (11 percent).
Georgia mainly imports gas, oil products, construction materials from Azerbaijan.
