The tariffs for central heating and hot water supply will increase in Tashkent from April 1, said the Uzbek company Tashteploenergo.

The tariffs for central heating for Tashkent's residents will increase up to 1,170 soums per square meter of floor space per month from April 1 (from the current 1,073 soums).

A new tariff for hot water supply will increase from 3,174 soums up 3,460 soums per cubic meter according to the water meter.

Meanwhile, the hot water supply tariffs will hit 13,511 soums per capita per month if there is no water meter (at present, 12,395 soums).

The tariffs for central heating and hot water supply increased by 5.2 percent in Uzbekistan in October 2015.

The official exchange rate is 2866,75 soums/$1 as of March 15.
