Kazakhstan’s metallurgic output up

Kazakhstan’s steel, copper, aluminum and other metallurgic output increased in January-May 2016, the website of Statistics Committee of the Kazakh Ministry of National Economy said.
Production of unrefined steel increased by 11.1 percent to 2.44 million tons, while production of flat rolled steel rose by 10.2 percent to 1.63 million tons.
Unprocessed zinc production increased by 1.3 percent to 190,155 tons.
Refined copper production increased by 6.5 percent to 232,631 tons in January-July 2016 as compared to the same period of 2015.
Raw aluminum production increased by 5.4 percent to 1.02 million tons.
The production of ferroalloys decreased by 1.8 percent to 1.02 million tons.
Iron ore production in Kazakhstan in the period decreased by 17.9 percent as compared to the same period in 2015 - to 20.13 million tons. Copper ore production increased by 219 percent - to 41.63 million tons.
