Russia’s KAMAZ ready to boost presence in Turkmen market

KAMAZ FTC Corp., a truck manufacturer based in Tatarstan, Russia, is interested in expanding its presence in the Turkmen market.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of KAMAZ FTC Corp. Sergey Tkachenko said in an interview with the ‘Neutral Turkmenistan’ newspaper that that his company is ready to offer cooperation in development of the automotive industry and vehicle fleet of Turkmenistan.

“We are actively working to improve the quality and competitiveness of the new range of vehicles,” Tkachenko said. “Great intellectual potential is involved in creation of electric buses and expansion of a line of gas motor vehicles. These are the priority areas in environmental improvement.”

KAMAZ has its dealer network in Turkmenistan, which is represented in the cities of Ashgabat, Balkanabat, Mary and Turkmenabat.

“If the new directions of our activity are of interest to Turkmenistan, we are always ready to hold meetings and talks regarding these and other possible options of partnership,” said Tkachenko.
