Azerbaijan reduced goods export to Georgia by 14 percent to $377.4 million in January-October 2016, according to the report of Georgia’s National Statistics Office.
The report says that Azerbaijan, with a specific weight of 4.6 percent (7 percent in January-October 2015), ranks the sixth among the countries exporting goods to Georgia.
Canada, with almost $1.8 billion (21.7 percent), is the leader for goods export to Georgia. Turkey with $1.1 billion (13.6 percent) and Ireland – $620.9 million (7.5 percent) are following Canada.
Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia amounted to almost $490 million in January-October 2016, according to the report. The specific weight of Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with Georgia accounts for 4.9 percent of the total volume of Georgia’s foreign trade operations.
