Iran offers Azerbaijan to expand relations in agriculture, said Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology Mahmoud Vaezi.

He made the remarks during a meeting of the Azerbaijan-Iran intergovernmental commission in Baku Dec. 27.

Azerbaijan and Iran can develop mutual use of agricultural lands, as well as jointly export agricultural products to the third parties, noted the minister.

“Moreover, we can jointly produce various agro-technologies,” he added.

Vaezi also said that the two countries have many opportunities and the relations in agricultural sector should be further developed.

Moreover, the Iranian minister offered the Azerbaijani side to mutually export and import agricultural products at advantageous prices.

Vaezi said that Azerbaijan and Iran created a trade committee and a list of goods exported and imported by the two countries has been determined.

There are about 60 types of goods in the list, noted the minister.

“We offer to analyze the list at the meeting of the intergovernmental commission and to mutually export and import the goods in this list,” added Vaezi.
