The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan transferred almost 2.26 billion manats to the state budget in 2016 that is by 42.1 percent more than in 2015, according to the committee’s report.

In general, the forecast on customs revenues of the Azerbaijani state budget was 1.81 billion manats for 2016 and the State Customs Committee’s transfers exceeded the forecast by 450 million manats.

In 2016, revenues from customs duties amounted to 600.21 million manats, from the value added tax – about 1.52 billion manats, from excise duties – 92.89 million manats, from highway-user tax – 83.24 million manats.

In December 2016, the volume of revenues totaled 235.01 million manats. Revenues from customs duties reached 53.56 million manats in December 2016, from value added tax – 148.42 million manats, from excise duties – 6.34 million manats, from highway-user tax – 2.67 million manats.

The committee’s revenues from customs duties increased by 48.8 percent, as compared to December 2015, from highway-user tax – by almost 12 times. Revenues from value added tax decreased by 3.7 percent, from excise duties – by 25.2 percent.
