Raiffeisen Bank and some commercial banks of Czech Republic consider the possibility of financing the deals on Czech technologies and equipment supplies to Azerbaijan, Milos Vecera, Head of Raiffeisen Bank’s Division on Trade Finance, Cash Management and Factoring told Trend.

Vecera is among the participants of Azerbaijani-Czech business forum which took part in Baku Jan. 17 and brought together about 20 Czech companies.

He noted that Raiffeisen Bank often participates in the business missions organized by Czech government and Czech Commercial Chambers.

“This is not our first visit to Azerbaijan and there are few other banks in the delegation. We all are looking for export finance transaction deals on Czech technologies and equipment, for example in construction works, waste-management, etc. that could be supplied to Azerbaijan with an export credit from one of our commercial banks,” Vecera said.

He noted that such a credit could be preferably ensured by EGAP (Czech export credit agency), which have already ensured transactions of Czech commercial and Czech export bank worth hundreds of millions of euros.

Vecera noted that currently the most attractive spheres of Azerbaijani economy are the spheres of oil and gas, processing of crude products, transportation and anything which is viewed as being strategically important for the country.
